Sponsors join the ranks of business and community leaders working to strengthen and diversify New York City's economy and help shift the profile of Lower Manhattan as it continues to grow into a diversified 21st-century brand.
The competition offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities, including supporting sponsorships and specific sponsorships for media, events, and awards.

Our Sponsors
Take the HELM is an initiative of New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the City's primary vehicle for promoting economic growth in each of the five boroughs. NYCEDC's mission is to stimulate growth through expansion and redevelopment programs that encourage investment, generate prosperity and strengthen the City's competitive position. NYCEDC serves as an advocate to the business community by building relationships with companies that allow them to take advantage of New York City's many opportunities. Find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter, or visit our blog to learn more about NYCEDC projects and initiatives.
The Take the HELM Competition is made possible by a grant from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) and funded through Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. LMDC was created in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 and is charged with ensuring Lower Manhattan recovers from the attacks and emerges even better than it was before. LMDC works in cooperation with its partners in the public and private sectors to coordinate long-term planning for the World Trade Center site and surrounding communities, while pursuing short-term initiatives to improve the quality of life in Lower Manhattan during the revitalization effort.
